Joshua August Rivera has been recording and performing for the last 20 years as part of a number of touring bands, and as a solo musician as well. His latest self-titled iteration is a reflection of his musical roots, coalescing into a raw but distilled sound that honors the divine, personal unravelings, and all the wild and wooly from the shadow-world and the illuminated-world. 2023 sparked a return to performing and releasing his music that has led up to his newest 2025 release “Before We Move On” a traipse through folky pathways and big poppy sonic pulses. Though he has been honing his craft for many years in the Northwest, he has recently been drawing inspiration from the Southwest, the California Coast, and the Hawaiian Islands.
